One day during one of the first months I was an au pair in España, I was in the kitchen making getting juice or something, when Lucas, then 7, grabbed my hand, kissed it, and then said, “Amanda, you are beautiful!” in his adorable Spanish accent.
Obviously, I died. How is that perfect family even real??

“It is what it is” has to be the laziest fucking expression in the English language.
I completely agree. What the hell does it even mean?? It’s like the “Que será, será” cliche but in the past tense. Except “Que será” sounds a lot prettier. And I kind of like “Que será”. But YEAH.
Yesterday, out of nowhere, this completely insignificant memory of this random dude that I went to middle school with popped into my head. I hardly knew him at all (I think we had math together in 6th grade) and I didn’t even know why I remembered him at all. I think he went to my high school too, but I don’t remember seeing him.
Today on facebook I saw that he passed away on Monday....

Hot yoga, y'all.
I’ve been going to hot yoga for about 4 months now. I don’t want to sound like the kind of person who dances around in the forest and thinks I’m one with the trees while painting my skin in mud and eating a salad made of flowers (aka vegans).
